Salt Water Up My Nose

To date Summer 2011 has been busy. Most of my activities have involved wise people under the age of 16. June in review!
What I learned about sand castle building from Jordan: Wet sand sticks to everything, molds nicely and deep down smells bad. People will stop and salute your creations, some will shrug in confusion and little boys will destroy!

What I learned about body surfing from Jordan: Face forward not into the waves, salt water is appropriately named, and sucking it up your nose is worse than it's chlorine cousin. You can read a brief 'how to' on the Internet, but at 55 years of age you are probably not going to look good doing it no matter how successful.

What I learned about shelling (figured it out on my own): It is addictive, will give you a crick in your neck and you must remember to look up occasionally. A revelation to self - in a past life it's doubtful I was someone famous. The probability that I was a mollusk is quite high. I have retained many of the characteristics in this life.

What I learned from Anne Morrow Lindbergh's Gift From the Sea: I'm in transition, the sea gets in your blood and women's lives are complicated!
