You Might Be In Texas...

when you see the following sign:



DON'T WASH YOUR HORSE ON THE SIDEWALK.



Above mentioned sign resides on the grounds of the Will Rogers Coliseum, home of the Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Built by the CCC in 1936, it was the first domed structure of its kind in the world. Along with the Landmark Pioneer Tower it is very art deco and impressive. A good horseman is to be admired, and when kissing the ground, sympathized with. Used to dream of owning a horse like Little Joe's and getting hitched to him, but he moved to the little prairie and had all those kids. Oh well, can still buy a pair of cowboy boots and look the part... with two feet firmly planted in the sod of Texas. Happy trails to you!
