Hoarfrost

Mike announced this morning that we had a hoary frost outside and before I panicked I peeked, with relief, to find no black clad, wart-nosed figure laying prostrate on our lawn. With pleasure I did view bare tree limbs dressed in wedding white frosting to match the 8 to 10 inches of snow on the ground. Yes, it is a word which defines ice crystals that form a white deposit on objects and one definition denoted that this occurred especially on outside objects. If this phenomenon happens inside, run to Lowe's and buy weather stripping and if you are looking for a snow shovel, sorry they are sold out!

So, I googled cabin fever next in my winter word search and in .23 seconds 2,310,000 hits were returned. There is a horror film bearing the title "Cabin Fever", legitimate cabin rental companies, a decor company and a knitting pattern site. One can research the symptoms and cures for being confined by ice fog, freezing drizzle, snow, sleet and endless days of gray. One can gaze in horror at scary ice particles clinging to "outside" landscapes or one can watch three hours of "Burn Notice" and eat macadamia nut cookies. It's all relative.
